Coins for College Drive Raises Over $10,000
The annual Spring Grove Area Scholarship Fund (SGASF) Coins for College Drive, held March 24–April 1, 2025, was a huge success! Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of students in grades K–8 and their families, a total of $10,018.89 was raised to support scholarships for graduating Spring Grove seniors — more than double last year’s total!
Each year, the school with the highest per-student donation earns the honor of a named scholarship, which is awarded at the SGASF Awards Banquet. To add to the excitement, SGASF introduced a traveling trophy for the winning school to display until the next drive.
And this year’s results brought a fun twist — a tie for first place! Both New Salem Elementary School and Spring Grove Intermediate School raised $6.64 per student. As a result, each school will have a scholarship awarded in its name during next year’s banquet!
Special thanks to Subway for their generous $500 donation in support of this cause!
A huge congratulations to all who participated — your generosity is making a lasting impact on the future of SGASD graduates!
