District Administrators Take Part in Hands-On Safety Training

Keeping our students and staff safe is a responsibility we take seriously, and preparation plays a key role in that commitment. On Monday, several of our district and school administrators participated in hands-on safety training at the Pennsylvania School Safety Institute (PennSSI).

PennSSI’s state-of-the-art facility provides real-world training designed for school leaders, educators, and security personnel. Through immersive scenarios, our administrators had the opportunity to practice responding to potential security threats, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to make quick, informed decisions in any situation.

"The training provided by PennSSI was empowering and worthwhile for any entity working with children and young adults," said Mrs. Phalom Mallory, SGAMS Assistant Principal. "The training was eye-opening, thought-provoking, and relevant to the need to de-escalate a possible threat situation."
