SGASD String Students Perform With Hanover Symphony Orchestra

Eight talented Spring Grove Area School District students showcased their musical skills as part of the Hanover Symphony Orchestra’s Kids Program. The young string musicians performed in a special concert on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at the Eichelberger Performing Arts Center.

As part of the HSO Kids! ensemble, these students had the unique opportunity to join the Hanover Symphony Orchestra in performing "A Tribute to Henry Mancini" arranged by Calvin Custer, and "Second American Folk Rhapsody" by Clare Grundman.

Adding to the Rocket pride, SGASD music teacher Mrs. Susan Gross served as the Assistant Conductor and Principal Viola for the Hanover Symphony, playing a key role in guiding the students and leading the performance.

Bravo to the following SGASD student musicians for their hard work and outstanding performance:

  • Charlotte Tome – Bass
  • Mark Enslen – Bass
  • Lucas Fricke – Cello
  • Emily Howard – Viola
